Dice Roller — Privacy Policy
Effective date: May 20, 2026
This privacy policy explains what information the Dice Roller mobile application ("the app") collects, how it is used, and what choices you have. The app is developed by an independent developer ("we", "us") and is distributed through the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.
Information we collect directly
Dice Roller does not require an account, does not ask you to sign in, and does not directly collect personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, phone number, or precise location. Your roll history and settings are stored locally on your device.
Information collected by third-party services
The app uses a small number of third-party services that may collect information automatically. We use this information only in aggregate to keep the app stable, understand how it is used, and to support free distribution through advertising.
Google Play Services and crash reporting
When the app crashes or encounters an error, anonymous diagnostic data (such as device model, operating system version, app version, and a stack trace) may be collected by Google Play Services and/or Firebase Crashlytics. This data is used to diagnose and fix problems and does not include personally identifiable information.
Firebase Analytics
The app uses Firebase Analytics (a Google service) to collect anonymous usage statistics such as which screens are viewed, which features are used, session length, approximate region, device model, and operating system version. This information is used to understand how the app is used and to prioritize improvements.
Google AdMob (advertising)
The app displays advertisements through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and process data including your device's advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID / Apple IDFA), IP address, coarse location, and interactions with ads in order to deliver and measure advertising. Where required by law (for example, under the EU GDPR or the UK GDPR), the app will ask for your consent before personalized ads are shown. You can change your choice at any time through your device's settings or by contacting us.
For details, see the Google Advertising policies and the Google Privacy Policy.
How we use information
- To operate, maintain, and improve the app.
- To diagnose crashes and fix bugs.
- To understand which features are used so we can prioritize improvements.
- To display advertising that helps keep the app free.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use the information collected to identify you personally.
Permissions
The app may request the following device permissions:
- Internet access — required to load advertisements, report crashes, and send anonymous analytics.
- Vibration — used to provide haptic feedback when rolling, if your device supports it.
The app does not request access to your contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or precise location.
Children's privacy
Dice Roller is suitable for general audiences. The app is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe that a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
Data retention
Data stored locally on your device (such as roll history and settings) remains there until you clear it or uninstall the app. Aggregated analytics and crash data are retained by the relevant service providers (Google / Firebase) in accordance with their published retention policies.
Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (for example, the EU/UK under the GDPR or California under the CCPA), you may have the right to:
- Request access to the data held about you.
- Request correction or deletion of that data.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Withdraw consent to personalized advertising.
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To exercise these rights, contact us at pavlovskii.ilya@gmail.com. You can also reset or disable your advertising identifier in your device's privacy settings.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the limited data we process. No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Material changes will be highlighted in the app or in an app store update note.
